Youandewan – ‘Spiral Arms EP’ – AUS Music

“deep and delicate house music”

AUS music is the label that just keeps on giving and getting 2015 off to a cracking start is Berlin based producer Youandewan. Following on from his release on AUS back in June last year and with others for the likes of Secretsundaze, Hypercolour and Simple Records under his belt as well he is building quite a reputation for producing deep and delicate house music

‘Stak Poly Looms’ is a beautiful fusing together of thumping kicks and soft, mournful pads which flow gently onwards. A real delight to listen to, with its rolling build up like a ray of sunshine in the depths of winter this will brighten your day and keep you grooving. ‘Isabel’ is much darker and more mysterious, centred mainly around elements of percussion weaving about long drawn out pads. When the bass line kicks in with its simple driving beat, the whole thing becomes a real minimalist deep house banger.

The B-side is large, the acidy squelches on ‘Fool Be Cool’ combined with simple drawn out chord patterns and soulful vocal samples make a late night groove that is irresistible. Marquis Hawkes is on remix duties, bringing an old school feel to ‘Fool Be Cool’ and yet giving a fresh vibe to a killer track.

With upcoming releases and remixes from Bicep, Will Saul & Komon, Jacques Greene, Justin Martin, Breach, Escape, Bwana and many more coming in the next six months it looks like AUS we can expect another stellar year of high quality output.
