Tominori Hosoya – Dear My Father – TH Pressing
“Emotional. Groovy. Timeless.”
“Detroit meets Tokyo”. This is how one of our favourite producers and DJs around (XDB) described this record the first time he heard it. Nothing better or easier for describing what Tominori Hosoya’s ‘Dear My Father EP’ on his TH Pressing has managed to do. The producer delivers an outstanding four tracker. Emotional. Groovy. Timeless.
The EP opens with “I’m On Your Way”, a special House record which takes life while subtle synth and pads melodies slowly grow and fuse with the tracks unstoppable conga patterns. The second cut of the record, ‘Father’s Pride’ is a club friendly Techno track, guided by a rolling bass-line. ‘See You Later’, the B1 Side, is an emotional broken beat journey and ‘Waikiki Sunset’ recreates cleverly a sunny and summery atmosphere with its Housey chords and an ethereal noises which is reminiscent of waves crashing on the beach.
A magical record for all the true Deep House lovers. With support from the following: Orlando Voorn, Brothers’ Vibe, Edward, Hiroshi Watanabe, Satoshi Fumi, Rolando, Nick Anthony Simoncino, XDB, Keith Worthy, Brewther, Aubrey.
