Mosca – NSM004 – Not So Much

"Man this Mosca EP is good…"

Everyone remembers Mosca from his massive tune ‘Bax’, but it’s with his label Not So Much that the real him came out. Dark beats, broken beats, straight beats submerged in a techno atmosphere with hints of dubstep and IDM, coming out on wax either from the man himself or from other affiliates. On this note he recently dropped NSM004…

If you listen to podcasts from anywhere in the world, scene wise, genre wise you might have spotted ‘White Mice’ lately. The weird uplifting, groovy, worldwide inspired, Young Marco friendly ‘White Mice’ – the trippy, dubby psychedelic ‘White Mice’ – the new Hypnotic Mosca’s ‘White Mice’. Give it a spin on a loud system…

The killer that is NSM004 includes two more absolute belters. The broken groove and beatless ‘No we’re not a couple’, in which a dubby bass-line constantly progress alongside the length of the track, with a non-elaborate melody but totally out of this world hooks. Cortisol on the other hand is a proper Electro monster, something that sounds like it just came out from the most underground UK 80’s studios. Weird captivating synth melodies lead the cut into cosmic atmospheres merged with soulful pads and an unstoppable groove.
