Breach & Cinnaman – Liberty/Avocado – Naked Naked

“deep and soulful house that keeps grooving”

Ben Westbeech has teamed up with Trouw resident and Rush Hour Record Store crewmember Cinnaman to put out a quality two tracker on his own Naked Naked label. Under his more house inclined Breach moniker he has already gained a reputation for high quality productions with real depth and this is set to be no exception.

‘Liberty’ leads with a cool pitch bending piano line and a deep rounded kick drum soon joined by echoing snares, top-heavy hi-hats and a wobbling bass line. This is deep and soulful feeling house that keeps grooving. Having only heard a short preview of this (which was more than enough to whet our appetites!), we are seriously excited to see what sort of direction the rest of the track takes.

‘Avocado’ with its splashy hats and popping bass is more upbeat and funky while retaining the soulful edge heard on the A-side. The broken vocal samples add a nice line of melody over gentle drawn out synth sections. Of particular delight is the second breakdown when a string section interplays with some interesting bass licks.
